#ArrestNzomo: Kenyans Demand the Arrest of Man Captured on Camera Brutally Assaulting Wife [VIDEO]
Police are hunting for a Makueni man captured on camera brutally assaulting a woman reported to be his wife.
The video went viral online sparking outrage from social media users who demanded his arrest using hashtag #ArrestNzomo.
The man, identified as Daudi Nzomo Manyenze, beat wife Evelyne Mwende over alleged infidelity. Evelyn is said to be Nzomo’s second wife, with other reports claiming she's underage.
In the video, the man is seen mercilessly kicking and slapping Evelyn as onlookers watch in dismay. She later collapses. Evelyn is currently admitted at Makueni Referral Hospital.

Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji has since ordered for the arrest of the man.
“The DPP’s attention has been drawn to a viral video clip of a man assaulting a woman in Makueni. Consequently the DPP has directed the @DCI_Kenya to immediately have suspect arrested & arraigned before court @fidakenya @CREAWKenya,” read a tweet from the DPP’s office.
“The DPP further directed that those who watched and participated in the unacceptable brutality be arrested and arraigned in court too @DCI_Kenya @fidakenya @CREAWKenya,” added another tweet.
