John Wanjohi Aug 28, 2018

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday held intensive bilateral talks with his United States counterpart Donald Trump at the White House in Washington, DC.

After their private meeting in the Oval Office, the two joined delegations from their respective countries in the Cabinet Room for bilateral talks that touched on a range of issues including partnership in trade and security.

Photos from the meeting shared by President Kenyatta on his social media accounts showed the two sides in a roundtable discussing agendas.

However, one of the photo showing those from the US side taking notes during the meeting while their counterparts from Kenya sit and watch has left Kenyans on social media talking.

In the photo each an every person from the American side has a notebook and a pen but on the other side, only President Kenyatta can be seen taking notes.

Kenyans online questioned  the seriousness of individuals President Kenyatta carries along while going to such meetings given that this is not the first time this is happening. Here are some of the reactions by online users;

 “Our Kenyan guys need to know when to carry note pads....not a very good picture,” Chris Martin said.

“On one side I see guys with note books n pens in their hands, the other side cups of tea n fingers pointing towards the cup handles! Tourism is real!” Simon Maina wrote on Facebook.

Kerubo Onderi noted: "Ours never carry notebooks and pens. .. kwani wako na cramming powers."

Liz Shiko Josephs said: "Thanks to our 8-4-4 system.....we are used to taking notes offhead......"

Idris Wayne joked:" White house they don't allow pens from outside. They might be weapons."

Mary Muriithi advised: "Next time carry something to write on. It is not a tea party."

Wanyonyi Khang'ati noted:" Looking at this picture, am I seeing only the Americans taking notes?? Apart from our president, the other guys seem to be only enjoying tea."
