Kenyans have taken to social media to send birthday messages to retired President Daniel arap Moi as he turns 94.

His 94th birthday comes 16 years after he handed over power to former President Mwai Kibaki after ruling Kenya for 24 years. Moi remains Kenya's longest serving president.
