Raila Planning to Have Me Kicked Out of Jubilee, Deputy President William Ruto Says
Deputy President William Ruto has taken a dig at opposition leader Raila Odinga, accusing him of having a plan to scuttle Jubilee Party.
Ruto who spoke in Mombasa on Sunday claimed that Odinga was using his handshake deal with President Kenyatta to pursue his personal political interests.
The Deputy President stated that they are aware of Raila's plan to wreck the ruling party but noted that his scheme will flop.
“The handshake is not a license so that you can bring confusion, propaganda and conman-ship into our party,”said Ruto in a veiled attack at Odinga.
He added: “We will not entertain propaganda in the government. They joined us so that we can transform Kenya but if their intention is to break the Jubilee Party or the government, we are telling them ‘we are watching you.'”
Ruto was speaking during the issuance of 3,000 title deeds to squatters in Majaoni, Kisauni, Mombasa County. Ruto also accused Odinga of planning to have him kicked out of Jubilee Party.
“I was also in ODM and they kicked me out after issuing me with show cause letter as they have done to Aisha Jumwa and Suleiman Dori. But I want to tell them, you cannot eject me from ODM then follow me and have me out of Jubilee. That is impossible.”
He was flanked by Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya, Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa among other leaders from the coast region.
