Chinese Nationals Arrested in Nairobi with Items Feared to Be a 'Threat to National Security’
Officers from the Kenyan Immigration Department on Friday arrested five Chinese nationals in Nairobi.
In a statement, the Immigration Department said the five foreigners were in possession of items feared to be a threat to national security.
“5 Chinese nationals arrested in Lavington with a number of items recovered that are believed to be a threat to our National Security,” the Immigration Department said.
The immigrants are said to have been running an unlicensed security company in Nairobi's Lavington area.
“They will be detained for sometime as the investigating agencies do further investigations,” the Immigration Department said on Twitter.
Among items discovered during the raid of the firm are teargas canisters, laptops and uniforms.
