Man Lays Fresh Claim to Late Cabinet Minister George Saitoti's Son, Wants His Body Exhumed for DNA Test
A man has once again laid claim of late Cabinet Minister Prof. George Saitoti’s only son, Zachary Musengi.
The man identified as Sebastian Maina Ngunju claims that he is the biological father of Musengi, who is known to be the son of the late Saitoti.
Ngunju says that his son was abducted 24 years ago from his home in Subukia, Nakuru County and maintains that Musengi is the kidnapped son.
He wants the remains of the former Vice President, who passed away six years ago in a plane crash, exhumed for a DNA test to be conducted.
“My third born child was kidnapped and after 24 years, I found the boy at the late Saitoti’s home. When he was stolen they changed his name,” Njugu says.
The man says he hopes the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) will help him get justice against Saitoti's family for abducting his son.
“I have hope in the office of the DCI and that of the DPP and I’m sure they will help me get justice,” he says.
Njugu first came out after Saitoti's death in 2012 and was ordered by the court not to speak on the matter again after the case was closed in 2013 after a probe allegedly established that Musengi was not his son.
He says he has been silent on the matter because he has been consulting local and international human rights organizations on how to approach the case.
