Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo Tells Off MP Moses Kuria for Asking President Uhuru to 'Wacha Ujinga'
Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has hit out at Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria for accusing President Kenyatta of using Central Kenya residents as 'voting machines.'
In a video that has gone viral online, a seemingly tipsy Kuria accuses Kenyatta of neglecting his backyard on development projects.
Kuria says Kenyatta goes to Nyanza and other regions that did not vote for him to launch development projects but issues useless certificates to rehabilitated alcohol addicts when he tours Kiambu.
“We can no longer accept to be treated the way we are being treated. When the President goes to other places, he launches development projects but here in our county he only gives certificates of [rehabilitated] alcoholics,” Kuria says.
“We cannot be voting politicians into power and they take development projects elsewhere. We should stop that nonsense. Water, roads and electricity projects are launched in other areas.”
“Munene atige gutukuwa wana (The president should stop taking us for granted),” Kuria says amid cheers from the crowd during a New Year concert held at Thika Stadium.
Taking to Twitter, Kabogo has told off Kuria for disrespecting President Kenyatta.
“How can Moses Kuria say that Uhuru Kenyatta should wacha ujinga. Shame on him!” tweets Kabogo to which Kuria replies saying; “Endelea kunitafuta tu. Sina shughuli na wewe.”
