Former United States President Bill Clinton has mourned the death of an American national who is among the 21 people killed during Tuesday's terror attack at DusitD2 complex along 14 Riverside Drive in Westlands, Nairobi.

Clinton has eulogized Jason Spindler, who was the CEO and Global Managing Director of I-DEV International, as a person who committed his life to expanding opportunities around the world.

"Jason Spindler dedicated his life to expanding opportunity around the world. I saw his drive and the impact of his work with @ClintonGlobal. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and all of those around the world whose lives he touched," Clinton says in a tweet.

Spindler was one of the survivors of the September 11th, 2001 terror attack in the US where close to 3,000 people were killed.

His company is located at Metta within the Dusit D2 Complex in 14 Riverside Drive in Westlands.

Nailab chief executive Sam Gichuru has eulogized Spindler as a strong player and supporter of the Kenyan tech ecosystem.

“We pray for God’s grace & comfort for the family and team at I-Dev,” Gichuru says in a post.

Others killed alongside Spindler during the attack include 16 Kenyans, one British citizen and three persons of African descent.
