Divorce: Kenyan Man Accuses Wife of Sleeping with 35 Men, Including an Inmate, During Their Four-Year Marriage
A Kenyan man, Joel Gachanja has accused her wife, Angela Mwihaki of sleeping with 35 men during their four-year marriage.
The Standard Digital reports that Mwihaki filed for divorce on February 21st, five days after her husband allegedly kicked her out of their matrimonial home.
In her case, Mwihaki accuses Gachanja of cruelty and irreconcilable differences.
“The defendant is a man of pregnant imagination constantly accusing me of cheating and having extramarital affairs. The constant acrimony between the parties mainly caused by unfounded insecurities on the part of the defendant,” says Mwihaki in court documents.
However, in a defense affidavit, her husband Gachanja claims that Mwihaki has had sex with 35 different men in their four-year union, allegations the woman does not dispute.
Among the men, Gachanja claims her spouse slept with include her former bosses, a Kenyan rugby player, a renowned rugby heckler, a sports TV anchor, her pediatrician, three basketballers, and a thespian.
Others include a former comedian, two club DJs, a church member, a tout, nine workmates, and 19 boyfriends.
Also in the list is her sister’s husband, his two friends, and an Indian guy. Gachanja also claims that Mwihaki offered sex to a prisoner in Kamiti, whom he met online.
In his affidavit, Gachanja has attached pictorial evidence of nudes and WhatsApp conversations his wife allegedly shared with several men who she slept with.
“(She) lost her chastity, honor, integrity, and prestige of a married woman and lowered herself by randomly flirting with her social media contacts and even sending suggestive and nude pictures and erotica content for momentary thrills,” avers Gachanja.
Gachanja has also attached evidence of his wife allegedly confessing to each and every sexual encounter, how the affairs started (with the name of every man), whether protection was used or not, and the places where she slept with the men.
“Some of these affairs were meant to meet her materialistic ambition and quest to climb the corporate ladder with whoever she found on her path to sleep with, and who will assist in her quest in advancement…at times, the petitioner would come home late way past midnight and upon being asked about her whereabouts, she becomes hysterical and at one point she confessed to having been on a date with her child’s pediatrician among her many suitors,” says Gachanja.
Mwihaki claims Gachanja violently threw her out of their home in Redhill on February 16th.
“On the 16 February 2019, the defendant ordered the plaintiff to remove her belongings from the matrimonial home and locked her out of the matrimonial home. The plaintiff is apprehensive of the defendant who has a history of violence, destruction of property, arson, an ill temper and foul mouth for her own safety and that of the children decided to vacate the matrimonial home to seek a safe haven. I swear by this affidavit that I am hiding both in fear of my life and the lives of my children due to the violent nature of the defendant,” she says in court papers.
She is demanding a monthly rent of Sh130,000, electricity bill of Sh5000 a month, medical Sh5000, Sh10,000 education fund, Sh10,000 for security, Sh2,500 for gas, house help (Sh18,000) water (Sh5,000), food per month (Sh50,000), school fees and transport (Sh160,000) clothing (Sh5,000) and Sh30,000 for entertainment.
