Nairobi Governor Sonko Links Peter Kenneth, Maina Kamanda to Corruption
Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko on Sunday slammed former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth and nominated MP Maina Kamanda, accusing them of being corrupt.
The two leaders were attending a prayer function at St. Stephens ACK Church in Nairobi alongside Governor Sonko.
During their speeches, Kamanda and Kenneth hit out at Deputy President William Ruto and his allies for opposing the war against corruption.
However, in his speech, Sonko hit back at the two, accusing them of being insincere in the fight on graft.
Governor Sonko went ahead to link them to corruption, accusing Kamanda of grabbing public land in Nairobi and Kenneth of overseeing the collapse of Kenya Reinsurance Company during his tenure as the Managing Director.
"Huyu Kamanda amegrab manyumba pale, amejenga manyumba kwa barabara (This man Kamanda has grabbed houses and has built houses on a road reserve)," Sonko claims.
Sonko has urged the two to stop pointing accusing fingers at others when their dark pasts are well known.
