A Kenyan family from Kiambu County is in shock after a man killed his wife before taking away his own life in an alleged domestic dispute.

Albert Mwangi hit and killed his spouse, Milcah using a blunt object before consuming poison and hanging himself at their home in Kiamumbi estate along Kamiti Road.

Mwangi, who was in his 50s, left behind a suicide note addressed to his four children.

In the note, Mwangi accused Milcah, a businesswoman of threatening, tormenting and insulting him.

He also claimed that his wife hated him and was planning to disinherit him.
He further alleged that Milcah was colluding with her brother to eliminate him.

“I didn’t know that I married a counterfeit wife. I married a Jezebel and her intention was just to steal everything from me. She has been threatening me, insulting me, she hated me… The end of the fight is over,” reads part of the note dated May 21st, 2019.

“Both Milcah and his brother planned to steal everything from me, destroy my life and then kill me."

The bodies of the two were taken to the Kenyatta Hospital Mortuary ahead of burial in Kangema, Murang’a County next week.
