Nairobi Man Imprisoned for One Month for Sleeping with Woman at Uhuru Park in Broad Daylight

A Nairobi man found having sex at Uhuru Park in broad daylight over the weekend has been arraigned in court.

Appearing before Chief Magistrate Roseline Ong’ayo on Wednesday, Kanara Maina pleaded guilty to sleeping with a woman at the popular recreational facility.

Magistrate Ong’ayo ordered the accused to pay a fine of Sh1,500 or serve a one-month prison term.

The accused pleaded for forgiveness but the judge declined.

Maina was arrested along with his lover Joyce Wanjiku over the weekend after being busted engaging in the act, and were both freed on Sh500 bond.

Ms. Wanjiku absconded the court session.
