US Ambassador Kyle McCarter Says Big No to Getting Kenyan Wife
US Ambassador to Kenya Kyle McCarter has taken to social media to declare his stand on marrying a Kenyan woman.
In a tweet on Thursday, McCarter told off those suggesting that he should find a Kenyan wife, stating that he is happily married to his wife Victoria.
McCarter shared a photo of him and Victoria, describing her as the "most beautiful and courageous woman I know."
“Standing next to the most beautiful & courageous woman I know," Ambassador McCarter captioned the photo.
He continued: "So for all you jokers who keep bringing up the silly idea that I might find another (Kenyan) wife. Sorry, Victoria is all I can handle and all I could ever want."
His tweet has attracted hundreds of comments, likes, and retweets, with most online users applauding him for openly declaring his love for Victoria.
McCarter was appointed as the US Ambassador to Kenya by President Donald Trump in 2018 to replace Ambassador Robert Godec who served in the position since 2012.
McCarter and his wife had previously worked in Kenya for more than 20 years, having founded the Each1Feed1International Charity in Tharaka-Nithi County.
The charity helps abandoned, abused as well as orphaned children and also provides a medical clinic for HIV and Malaria patients.
