Governor Anne Waiguru Weds Lawyer Kamotho Waiganjo [PHOTOS]

Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru and lawyer Kamotho Waiganjo are officially wife and husband.

The two lovebirds exchanged marriage vows in a lavish Kikuyu traditional ceremony held at Kiamugumo Primary School, Kirinyaga County on Saturday.

The two sealed their union in an ecstatic invite-only ceremony attended by about 2,000 guests including President Kenyatta, and ODM leader Raila Odinga.

Other guests included Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed, Murang'a Woman Representative Sabina Chege, Interior PS Karanja Kibicho, Transport CS James Macharia, CAS Rachael Shebesh, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Narok Senator Ledama ole Kina, and Siaya Senator James Orengo among others.

Waiganjo and Waiguru held their dowry payment ceremony on February 16th this year.

The couple got engaged at an invite-only party held at Lord Erroll Hotel in Nairobi early this year after dating for about 10 years.

The two are said to have met in 2009 at Likoni Ferry in Mombasa and became friends before the relationship turned romantic.

Waiguru and Kamotho are both divorced from their former spouses.
