Detectives from Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have launched a manhunt for notorious Kenyan female serial criminal Jane Wawira Mugo.

In a statement, DCI indicated that Jane is wanted for various criminal offences including robbery with violence, impersonation and threatening to kill.

The woman allegedly masquerades as a private investigator and CEO of a company identified as Trimo Security Limited, DCI stated.

She is accused of drawing a pistol and threatening to kill a man over claims that he was spying for a relative of the director in a company where she was the private investigator.

The incident happened on August 15th this year at New Muthaiga Estate, according to DCI.

“Ms. Jane Wawira Mugo, a serial criminal is wanted by the DCI, for various criminal activities including robbery with violence, personation and threatening to kill. A warrant of arrest to that effect was issued by Milimani Law Courts. To be arrested wherever she’s found,” said the DCI.

DCI said Wawira was in 2015 charged with detaining a man for several hours after coercing him to pay Sh440,000 to her.

In the same year, she was also accused of personating a public official whereby she stormed the office of a detained man’s lawyer and introduced herself as a cop. She went ahead to ransack the attorney’s house while creating a disturbance.

Jane is also alleged to have kidnapped a Nairobi businessman and locked him up in her office at Baba Dogo area before forcing him to pay a debt of Sh400,000.

In 2016, her workers identified as Isaac Ndirangu, Noreen Malala and Michael Gitau robbed a man of Sh90,000 which he had withdrawn from a bank. The three introduced themselves as police officers.

DCI appealed to anyone with information about her whereabouts to report to any nearest police station.
