Slain Dutch national Tob Cohen’s estranged wife Sarah Wairimu on Tuesday vowed to defend herself against accusations that she murdered her husband.

Wairimu, who is the prime suspect in the killing, spoke at the burial of the late tycoon which was held at the Jewish cemetery along Wangari Maathai Road in Nairobi on Tuesday.

The widow, who was escorted to the ceremony by prison wardens, told Cohen’s killers that their days are numbered even as she appeared to suggest that they were in attendance.

“I am not scared of anybody. One thing that Cohen taught me is to take no for an answer…so even in this, I am going to fight,” she said.

She continued: “But even as we stand here, many of the ones responsible for Tob’s death here in sheep skin believe you me your days are also numbered.”

Holding a white handkerchief, Ms. Wairimu was seen wiping her tears as priests performed final rituals in line with the Jewish traditions. The casket carrying Cohen’s remains was lowered into the grave a few minutes to 5 pm.

Some of the prominent personalities who were present include former government spokesperson Muthui Kariuki, President Kenyatta's cousins Ngengi Muigai and Captain Kung'u Muigai as wells as lawyers Cliff Ombeta and Philip Murgor.

Cohen, who had lived in Kenya for 32 years, was found dead on September 13th and his body dumped inside an underground water tank at his home in Kitisuru, Nairobi. The 71-year-old tours and travel tycoon had been missing since July 19th.
