No Bodyguards, No PA: Makueni Governor Prof. Kivutha Kibwana Flies to the US Alone
Makueni Governor Prof. Kivutha Kibwana allegedly traveled to the United States unaccompanied by his aides.
This was revealed by Kenyan activist Boniface Mwangi who encountered Governor Kibwana in New York City without his bodyguards and personal assistant.
In a social media post, Mwangi heaped praise on Kibwana describing his as ‘Kenya's next President’. Mwangi said the politician flew to the US alone.
“He flew all the way to New York alone, no PA, no bodyguard, true servant leadership. Hapa kazi tu,” wrote Mwangi.
Kenyans online agreed with Mwangi that Governor Kibwana is the kind of leader the country needs.
Mar Mary noted: “Kenyans have not reached there yet, to vote for a good leader. Mpaka tuteseke tuteseke tuteseke kabisa...Am really waiting for that time.”
Veronicah Nduta wrote: “The Simplicity of this man is really admirable. His legacy will never be forgotten.”
This is not the first time Prof. Kibwana is receiving praise from Kenyans. In the past, online users expressed their admiration for the 65-year-old Governor for his simple lifestyle.
Kibwana has also been hailed for undertaking various development projects in his county including MakueniCare, a medical cover at all public health facilities for only Sh500 per household. He also opened mango and milk processing plants.
Unlike other Governors who move around with an entourage of aides, security men and chase cars, Kibwana only travels with his driver and bodyguard.
