700,000 Papers Used for Rolling Bhang Nabbed at Kirinyaga MCA’s Shop
Detectives have opened an investigation after papers used for rolling marijuana were seized from a shop belonging to a Member of Kirinyaga County Assembly (MCA).
The more than 700,000 rolling papers, which were in two boxes, were found inside Kabare Ward MCA Chomba Nyaga’s shop in Kutus town, according to area OCPD Anthony Mbogo, who added that they are used by bhang peddlers.
“The illegal rolling papers are known as rizla and Kabare ward MCA Chomba Nyaga has recorded statement at Kutus patrol base,” said Mbogo.
In a statement to the police, MCA Chomba disowned the rolling papers, saying they were left at his shop by a customer. “A customer left the cartons to my worker but after staying long I informed the police officers,” he noted.
Police officers are reportedly looking for one suspect as they try to establish the connection between him and MCA Chomba.
