Nairobi Woman Rep Esther Passaris Undergoes Spinal Surgery in India
Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris has undergone successful spinal surgery at a hospital in India.
In a post on Twitter on Friday evening, Passaris divulged that she jetted out of the country on December 31st and had her operation at the Care Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) in Ahmedabad, India on New Year’s Day.
“I flew to Ahmedabad, India on 31st December 2019 and successfully had Spinal Surgery the following day at CIMS Hospital,” she said.
“I thank God for the Gift of Life, my family for their unconditional love and everyone who whispered a word of prayer as I went in.”
This is the third time in a period of one year that Passaris, 55, has been admitted to hospital for surgery. Last September, she had an operation at the Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi to address issues with her back pain that dated back to 20 years ago when she gave birth to her son.
In January 2019, Passaris underwent thyroidectomy at the Nairobi Hospital, a procedure that saw her lose both thyroid glands.
