MP Swarup Mishra Denies Claims of Trading in Human Organs

Kesses MP Swarup Mishra, who owns Mediheal group of hospitals, has disputed claims that the health facilities are involved in the business of trading human body parts.

This came after reports emerged on social media claiming that Mediheal hospitals smuggle human organs, especially kidneys, to Kenya from other centers in Nigeria, Malawi, and India.

Speaking this weekend, MP Mishra termed the reports as propaganda peddled on social media by his political rivals who are keen to unseat him in 2022. He further alleged that bloggers were advancing the false narrative in a bid to mint money from him and threatened to resign if the attacks persist.

"I will resign if I see social media attacks again. I don’t care! They believe that I will give them money when they insult me on social media.”

“If you don’t want Mishra, tell me in a nice Kalenjin word and I will respond momii ng’ala, otestai (there is no problem, you can continue my work),” Mishra was quoted by The Standard.

He added that he does not have to be elected in order to serve residents of Kesses Constituency in Uasin Gishu County and would still carry on with various projects in the area.

“You think I can’t help people without an elective position? I need no MP seat to assist people. Those fighting me want to kill medical technology and medicine in this country,” he noted.
