Hair Transplant Clinic Opened in Nairobi

Kenyans seeking to have hair transplant will no longer need to travel abroad for the procedure, following the opening of a new transplant clinic in Nairobi.

The new state-of-the-art hair transplant clinic has opene in Parklands, Nairobi targeting Kenyans with deep pockets. The center, Tia Clinic, does hair transplant using a natural process, according to aesthetic doctor Arshni Malde.

"We remove your own hair from stronger areas and plant it back on the base where it is bald. This takes eight months to grow and give you full-fledged results with guaranteed hair for the next 20 years," she said.

Malde indicates that the clinic has three procedure rooms enabling them to treat three patients simultaneously, and the cost is calculated after the extent of the bald area is determined. "Ideally, when we are doing a hair transplant, it takes a whole day," Malde says.

Other services offered at the clinic including anti-aging treatment and antioxidant therapy take about two hours.

"We can accommodate at least 67 patients a day as we have 2,000 square feet space," says Malde.

The cost of hair transplant ranges between Sh70,000 and Sh400,000. In addition, the clinic also offers stem cell therapy.

Malde says: "We use your own blood to turn into stem cells and we treat pain anywhere in the body from back pain to the elbow and shoulder pain with your own blood."

The other treatment service offered at the facility is antioxidant therapy where antioxidants are injected into one’s body at a higher dose.  “This is because we are trying to treat you from diseases like diabetes and blood pressure. It has a side effect which is good and you become much better," says Malde.

To keep patients in a relaxed state ahead of treatment, the clinic has massage parlors. “They do not feel they are being treated,” adds Malde.
