Kalonzo Supporters in the UK Endorse Plans to Form Unity Government

Wiper Democratic Party—United Kingdom branch (Wiper-UK) has endorsed plans to form a government of national unity.

Wiper-UK secretary-general Thomas Musau hailed the proposed move, saying it will not only bring peace and unity to the country but also prosperity. He added that leaving a united Kenya after his 10-year term would be President Kenyatta’s biggest legacy.

"We in the diaspora engage in the active politics of our country because we want to come back and enjoy peace and political harmony which also promotes a safe haven for our investment. Any development towards this end is a welcome move," said Musau.

Last week, Wiper’s National Executive Council (NEC) gave party leader Kalonzo Musyoka the green light to engage in coalition talks with Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party in a bid to unite the country.

A few weeks ago, Jubilee signed a post-election pact with Kanu and the ruling party is already in talks with other political outfits for similar agreements, according to reports.
