Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei Involved in a Road Accident

Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei was taken to a hospital in Eldoret after he was involved in a road accident along the Eldoret-Kapsabet road.

Cherargei was reportedly driving to his home in Eldoret from Nandi on Friday night when he lost control of his car and veered off the road.

He is said to have sustained minor injuries and was rushed to St Luke’s Hospital in Eldoret, where he was treated and discharged. His Toyota Prado was extensively damaged.

Senator Cherargei was among politicians who had accompanied Deputy President William Ruto to a meeting with elders in Nandi earlier in the day.

The meeting took place at Kapsirwo village, where rituals were performed to cleanse DP Ruto and protect him from bad omen ahead of the 2022 presidential election.

On Saturday morning, Cherargei tweeted that he is “safe and sound” following the road crash.

“Safe & Sound. God bless you all. Sanitize Stay home stay safe,” he wrote.
