Governor Alfred Mutua Opens Exquisite 5-Star Hotel in Machakos [PHOTOS]

Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua has launched an exquisite five-star hotel that has been under construction for the past five years.

Mutua through his social media pages said the facility named A$L Hotel will open its doors to the public on Friday, July 24th. A stands for Alfred (Mutua) while L stands for his wife Lillian.

“Lillian and I invite you to the soft opening of the A & L Hotel, Machakos, from tomorrow, July 24th, 2020. We have initiated Covid-19 protocols to keep all of us safe. Please pass by anytime for a cup of tea, a drink, a meal, or even a swim. The restaurant’s hours: 8 am- 8 pm daily,” Mutua wrote.

Mutua noted that the hotel was the couple’s newest venture in that the hospitality industry, which they have a passion for.

“Initially we thought about saving up the money but halfway through we decided to take a loan and complete the project,” he explained.

The hotel features a high ceiling dining area, outdoor eating area, large swimming pool, and accommodation suits that Mutua described as the largest in the country.

Apart from the hotel industry, Mutua has interests in aviation, media, and export-based agriculture. 

Mutua, who is serving his second and final term as Machakos Governor, is eying the presidency in 2022.
