A video of a Kenyan man being ‘interviewed’ by CNN’s Brianna Keilar has gone viral on social media, leaving online users in stitches.

In the video, the man who claims to be from Kiambu County hilariously talks about his triumphant battle with Covid-19 using ‘broken English.’

“Let me first return many many thanks for inviting me to speak inside a television (sic), you are catching me one on one from Kiambu Kenya, today I’m feeling hot like lack of importance,” says the man who dressed in a summer hat, a shirt and tie.

He went on to disclose how he discovered he had contracted Covid-19.

“I was at the Mutura base when my head started biting me and I thinked it was because I had not drinken tea in the morning, I started feeling English English (sic) and decided to go to the hospital,” he added.

The video caught the attention of many social media users with some like journalist Rasna Warah believing that the interview actually took place due to how craftily it was edited to appear like real.

“Question is why @CNN aired this interview which makes no sense at all. What is the purpose?” Warah posed.

The Kiambu man has been identified as an upcoming comedian who goes by the name Mickey Laxy Comedy on Facebook. Kenyans have lauded the comedian’s creativity.

Njoroge Githumbe said: "This guy must be a graduate or something close. He mixes humour and intelligence with great ease. The video mixing too is on another level. We need to get this guys real jobs not unblocking the sewer."

Boniface Mouti noted: "It is these experiences that help to relieve the pain of being a Kenyan!"
