Atlanta-Based Kenyan Pastor Gifts 16-year-old Daughter Brand New Mercedes Benz on Her Birthday

Atlanta-based Kenyan pastor Dr. Jacob Kinyanjui Ng’ang’a, alias KN Jacob, gifted his daughter a brand new Mercedes Benz as she turned 16 on Wednesday.

“Today, my daughter Ivy turns 16. I’ve gifted her with a car as a birthday gift. Happy Birthday, Ivy. May the Lord keep you in perfect peace and health all the days of your life,” Jacob wrote on social media.

Jacob, who doubles up as a motivational speaker and writer, defended the decision to gift the teenager a car, citing a lack of a reliable public transport system in his area of residence.

He explained that it is common for 16-year-olds to drive themselves where he lives, adding that sometimes parents are too busy to drop their teen kids to work. 16 is the minimum driving age in some US states.

“I know in some places, this may sound like irresponsible parenting. But where I live, 16-year-olds driving is commonplace. Youths with work experience are more attractive in most top-notch universities. And parents may not be available to drop these teens to and from work,” Jacob added.

Jacob, who lives in Marietta, Georgia is recognized as an inspirational speaker, mentor, life coach, corporate trainer, and business consultant. He speaks on personal and corporate leadership, strategic thinking, emotional intelligence, personal branding, peak performance, dealing with depression, mind mastery, parenting, among other topics.

He has published several books including Me, Men & Money (A Woman’s Masterpiece), You Don’t Need a Job, Reposition Yourself, My Life Journey, The Power of the Spoken Word, and A Guide to Parenting Today.

The father of two holds a Ph.D. in Project Management and is the Pastor of Family Church in Marietta.
