Google has released a list of the most searched items in Kenya in the past 15 years.
In the general category, the English Premier League was the most searched item followed by betting companies SportPesa and Betin Kenya, Jumia Kenya, Brighter Monday, Fantasy Premier League, Kenya Power, Jiji Kenya, Kenya Law Reports, and December Global Holidays.
How to make love, How to kiss, How to write a CV, What is love, How to make money online, How to fuliza, How to cook pilau, What is my IP, How to bake a cake, and How to write an application letter were the most googled questions.
President Uhuru Kenyatta, ODM leader Raila Odinga, Deputy President William Ruto, lawyer Miguna Miguna, former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, journalist Betty Kyalo, the late Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore, State House spokesperson Kanze Dena, and journalist Jeff Koinange were the top 10 most searched local personalities during the period.
Kenyatta University was the most googled local institution followed by University of Nairobi, Moi University, Kenya Revenue Authority, Maseno University, Mount Kenya University, Teachers Service Commission, Strathmore University, Egerton University, and Stima Sacco.
The 10 most searched global personalities in Kenya were Kim Kardashian, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Joel Osteen, Paul Walker, Serena Williams, Bill Gates, Celine Dion, Tiger Woods, and Nina Dobrev.
Diamond Platnumz topped the list of most googled musicians ahead of Nicki Minaj, Rose Muhando, Willy Paul, Vybz Kartel, Lil Wayne, Bahati Bukuku, Cardi B, Ali Kiba, and Khaligraph Jones.
