Nominated Senator Victor Prengei Dies in a Road Accident

Nominated Senator Victor Prengei has died after a grisly road accident in Nakuru.

Prengei, who was nominated to the Senate by the Jubilee Party, was involved in a crash along Nakuru-Kabarak Road on Monday night.

Confirming the incident, Nakuru County Police Commander Beatrice Kiraguri said the senator was driving towards Kabarak from Nakuru town when the accident happened in Gioto area.

He was rushed to Nakuru County Referral Hospital for emergency treatment but he died of the accident injuries.

Nominated Senate Millicent Omanga also confirmed his death through a post on Facebook.

“Rest well my colleague and friend Hon. Victor Prengei, Nominated Senator. We shall forever cherish your tireless efforts in fighting for and protecting the rights of the minority communities in our Nation. We have lost a great leader. My condolences to your family, friends, and the entire Ogiek community,” Omanga wrote.
