Police in Nakuru are detaining a 39-year-old man who allegedly killed another man after finding him with his wife.

Micah Nyaberi Bogomba is reported to have returned to his house in Nakuru’s Kagoto area unannounced and found Boniface Njagi Maina, 34, ‘relaxing’ with his wife Harriet Vivian Mboga.

The man demanded to know what Maina was doing with his wife in the wee hours of the night before descending on him with blows and kicks.

“Subdued and seeking to escape with his life, Njagi is reported to have pleaded with Nyaberi to let him have his shoes and leave, but the pleas were met with a stab on his back slightly below the scapula,” reads a police report.

Police officers from Kagoto Patrol Base were alerted of the 3am incident and rushed to the scene where they found Maina’s lifeless body lying in a pool of blood by the gate.

“In the suspect’s house, police also found spattered blood on the walls and house items, which has since been documented by crime scene detectives,” added the report.

Nyaberi and his wife Harriet were arrested and are being held by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives in Nakuru.
