Kenyan Hollywood Actress Lupita Nyong'o Tests Positive for Covid-19
Kenyan Hollywood actress Lupita Nyong’o has tested positive for Covid-19.
Lupita, an Oscar award winner, broke the news through Twitter on Tuesday night, saying she has gone into isolation.
“I too have tested positive for COVID-19. I'm fully vaccinated and taking care in isolation, so I trust I will be well,” she wrote.
“Please do all you can to keep yourself and others protected from serious illness.”
The positive test came days before the 36-year-old US-based superstar’s scheduled press tour to promote her new film ‘The 355’.
Hollywood outlet Variety reports that Lupita has been forced to cancel promotional interviews for ‘The 355’, which is out in US theatres on Friday.
Lupita plays Khadijah, a former MI6 ally and cutting-edge computer specialist, in the movie that brings together four top agents as they try to retrieve a top-secret weapon that has fallen into mercenary hands.
