Five Family Members Who Died in a Road Accident on Christmas Day Buried in Kisii

Emotions run high as five family members who died in a road accident on Christmas Day were buried in Kisii on Friday.

The requiem mass for Ronald Bundi (43), his wife Veronica Ogake (40), and their three daughters Marion Moraa (14), Natalia Kemunto (17), and Claire Kwamboka (7) was held at the Kegogi Catholic Church ground in Sameta, Kisii County.

The five were later laid to rest at their home in Nyakegogi village in a ceremony attended by Transport Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Chris Obure and other local leaders.

Family and friends eulogized Mr. Bundi as a kind and generous man, who contributed immensely to the construction of the local church.

Bundi and his family were involved in a grisly road crash on the busy Mombasa-Nairobi highway on December 25th last year as they traveled home for the Christmas holiday. Their vehicle collided head-on with another vehicle at the Mackinon area near Voi. 

Their two sons, Mike (10), and Venard (3) survived the accident and are currently in hospital receiving treatment.
