Deputy President William Ruto’s first-born son Nick Ruto has wedded his long-time girlfriend Evelyn Chemtai Some.

The two lovebirds got married in a Kalenjin ‘Koito’ traditional wedding held at Windy Ridge in the upmarket Karen area of Nairobi on Saturday.

The invite-only wedding ceremony was attended by close family members, friends, and some political leaders allied to the deputy president.

Nick, 30, was admitted to the bar as an advocate of the High Court of Kenya in February 2019. Not much is known about his wife Chemutai.

Their wedding comes months after Ruto’s eldest daughter June Ruto tied the knot with her Nigerian fiancé Alexander Ezenagu.

The two exchanged marriage vows in a lavish invite-only ceremony held at Ruto’s residence in Karen, Nairobi on May 27th last year.

Ezenagu is an Assistant Professor of Taxation and Commercial Law at Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Qatar. He is an Associate Research Fellow (Trade, Investments and Public-Private Partnerships) at the Institute for Oil, Gas, Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development Institute of Afe Babalola University in Nigeria.

The Nigerian holds a doctorate in International Tax Law from McGill University, Canada, and a Master of Law degree (LL.M) in Commercial Law from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom.

June, who studied international relations at the University of Queensland in Australia, currently serves as Kenya’s Charge d’Affaires in Poland. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in diplomacy from the United States International University (USIU) in Nairobi.
