Mudavadi Promises to Make a Major Political Declaration That Will Shake Kenya Like a Tsunami

Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi says he will make a major political announcement on January 23rd.

Mudavadi, who spoke to journalists in Nyamira on Sunday, said the declaration will be made during the ANC National Delegates Conference in Nairobi.

The announcement, Mudavadi says, will shake the entire country like a Tsunami and alter Kenya's political landscape. He urged Kenyans across the country to keep their eyes glued to the television on the day in order to be part of the history that will be made.

"Sitaki kutoa siri zote sahii sababu nitakuwa nimetoa utamu na ladha, lakini siku hiyo ANC itatoa msimamo ambao utakuwa kama msisimko wa wa ardhi katika siasa za Kenya," Mudavadi said.

Mudavadi, a former Vice President, is one of the four One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principals alongside Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Moses Wetang’ula (Ford Kenya), and Gideon Moi (Kanu).

The alliance is seeking to field a joint presidential candidate in the August 9th elections to take on UDA’s William Ruto and Raila Odinga of Azimio La Umoja, but the four principals are yet to agree who will be the flagbearer.

Mudavadi recently dismissed reports that he was being courted by Ruto to form an alliance ahead of the elections.
