"Kenyans Are More Disappointed in You": Mudavadi Claps Back at President Uhuru

John Wanjohi Jan 26, 2022

ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi has fired back at President Kenyatta for faulting his decision to work with Deputy President William Ruto.

Kenyatta was quoted as saying that Mudavadi disappointed him by joining forces with the deputy president ahead of the August 9th general elections.

Kenyatta, who was addressing a section of Western Kenya leaders during a meeting at State House on Tuesday, reportedly termed Mudavadi’s move as “misguided and disappointing.”

Responding to the alleged remarks by Kenyatta, Mudavadi told off the president, saying that Kenyans are more disappointed in him.

“I want to tell my friend President Uhuru Kenyatta that you have a right to be disappointed, but Kenyans are even more disappointed in you,” Mudavadi.

“Kenyans are hungry, have a big tax burden and are overcharged. They are jobless and hustling, they are disappointed, Tusidanganyane.”

Mudavadi, who spoke on Wednesday during a joint rally with Ruto and Ford-Kenya leader Moses Wetang’ula in Eldama Ravine, Baringo County, further insisted that he will not work with ODM leader Raila Odinga in the forthcoming elections.

He dismissed Kenyatta’s succession plan, saying his preferred presidential candidate (Raila) was a “stalled project just like many other stalled government projects.”
