Mutilated Body of a Five-Year-Old Girl Found at Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga's Farm

Police in Siaya have opened an investigation into the mysterious death of a five-year-old girl.

The mutilated body of the minor was discovered on Friday evening at a farm belonging to Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga in Segere village in Central Alego.

The girl went missing from the neighboring Okoyo village one week ago after she was left at home when her mother took her younger sibling to the hospital at Segere, area chief Felix Omudho said.

The minor is believed to have followed the mother towards Segere and was spotted around Segere primary school on the day she disappeared.

Omudho says the girl’s body was found on the farm with its lower and upper limbs missing. 

The body was moved to Siaya County Referral Hospital mortuary for postmortem as investigations continue.
