Naked Body of a Woman Found Dumped Outside a Police Station in Kisii

Police in Kisii are investigating the gruesome murder of a woman whose body was found dumped outside a police station.

The middle-aged woman’s naked body was discovered lying a few meters from Kisii police station with deep cuts around her neck and private parts, according to a police report.

It is suspected that the woman whose identity is yet to be established was raped before being murdered.

Her body was moved to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue awaiting a post-mortem as investigations continue.

Human rights activists drawn from the region have expressed their concern over the rising cases of brutal attacks and murder of women.

Earlier this week, Kisii woman representative aspirant in the forthcoming elections Fontina Ngare was attacked by unknown men in her home in Mosocho. 

She sustained serious injuries on the head and is currently recuperating at Kisii Referral Hospital.
