Nominated MP David Ole Sankok's Son Shoots Himself Dead
Nominated MP David Ole Sankok’s first-born son has reportedly shot himself dead.
The incident occurred on Monday afternoon at the politician’s home in Ewaso Nyiro, Narok County, according to reports.
Narok CCIO Mwenda Ithaiba told TV47 Digital that the deceased was a Form Four student and was supposed to report to school last week but he did not.
“From the preliminary investigations, we have established that the boy was meant to go back to school last week but he didn’t,” said Mwenda.
“He spent the money that was meant for shopping and returned home.”
The detective said MP Sankok, who had traveled during the week, returned home and insisted that the son must report to school for the new term accompanied by his guardian due to the lateness.
“The information we have gathered is that an argument ensued and Sankok left the house for Ewaso Nyiro trading centre to speak to some people. It is at this moment that the boy accessed the family safe and reached for the pistol with which he shot himself,” added Mwenda.
Police have launched investigations into the incident.
