Missing 12-year-old Kiambu Girl Found Dead

Police in Kiambu are investigating the mysterious death of a 12-year-old girl who was reported missing two weeks ago.

Maureen Wangui Kioi, a pupil at Juter Academy in Githurai 45, was first reported missing on April 20th at Githurai Mwiki police station.

She was last seen wearing a black hoodie and matching trousers around Mount Kenya area in Githurai 45, Kiambu County.

Her lifeless body was discovered on May 1st, according to reports from Missing Child Kenya, an organization that creates awareness on issues of missing children.

“Our sincere condolences to the family and friends. Thank you everyone who shared the original alert poster,” Missing Child Kenya said in a notice.

The organization urged anyone with any information regarding the girl’s death to report the matter to Githurai Mwiki police station.
