SportPesa CEO Ronald Karauri Poised to Win Kasarani MP Seat on an Independent Ticket

SportPesa CEO Ronald Karauri is poised to win the Kasarani Constituency Member of Parliament (MP) seat.

Unofficial results show Karauri, who was vying as an independent candidate, has garnered 32,315 votes ahead of his rivals John Njoroge Chege (30,575) of the UDA party and incumbent Mercy Gakuya (24,967) of the Jubilee party.

Karauri decided to vie for the seat as an independent candidate after Jubilee Party which is headed by President Kenyatta denied him a ticket in favor of Gakuya.

“What God has done no man can undo. It’s a new dawn in Kasarani. Kazi ianze sasa. #Captain Ronald Karauri- #Incoming Kasarani MP,” Karauri posted on his Twitter account on Wednesday.
