Family Seeks Justice After Two Sons are Found Murdered and Bodies Dumped in Joska

A family from Limuru, Kiambu County is demanding justice following the brutal murder of their two sons.

Johnson Karuga, 26, and his brother Kelvin Kimani, 24, were found murdered and their bodies dumped near a bridge in the Joska area of Nairobi, a week after their disappearance.

The two were last seen alive on the night of September 4th at a club in Nairobi’s Kamulu estate, where they had reportedly gone to watch a football match and did not return home.

Their father Joseph Kimani says the family launched a search for their two sons after they failed to return home on the second day and their phones went unanswered.

The bodies of the two brothers were discovered near a bridge in the Joska area a week later and taken to City Mortuary.

Speaking on Wednesday at Tigoni Hospital mortuary, where the bodies were transferred from City Mortuary, Haki Africa Executive Director Hussein Khalid said that the bodies had injuries consistent with a blunt object attack.

Haki Africa and the family have asked the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to conduct a speedy investigation into the murders of the two and ensure that the perpetrators are brought to book.
