John Wanjohi Oct 09, 2022

President Ruto arrived in Tanzania on Sunday evening ahead of his two-day official State visit.

Ruto, who is accompanied by his wife, First Lady Rachel Ruto, was welcomed to Tanzania by the country's Foreign Affairs Ministry Dr. Stergomena Tax.

The president is expected to pay a visit to his Tanzanian counterpart Samia Suluhu at State House in Dar es Salaam, where the two leaders are expected to hold bilateral talks.

President Ruto will then address the media before attending a luncheon at State House, according to a communique from the Tanzanian government.

This is the fifth country President Ruto has visited since his inauguration as Kenya’s fifth President on September 13th.

He first traveled to the United Kingdom to attend Queen Elizabeth II's funeral, then to the United States to attend the United Nations General Assembly, Ethiopia for bilateral talks, and, most recently, Uganda where he graced the country's 60th independence celebrations on Sunday.
