Kenyan Mother, Her Two Daughters Killed in a Suspected Murder-Suicide in Louisville, Kentucky

Police in Louisville, Kentucky are investigating a suspected murder-suicide that killed four people among them a Kenyan woman and her two daughters.

Officers from the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) received a report of a shooting just after 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning in the 4500 block of East Pages Lane in Valley Station, WAVE 3 News reported.

Upon arrival at the scene, the officers found four people dead including an adult man, an adult woman, and two juvenile girls, according to a spokesperson for the LMPD.

The police department said the incident appeared to be a murder-suicide and that all four victims were members of the same family. Officers believe the man was the one responsible for initiating the alleged murder-suicide.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the man shot the adult female and the two juveniles girls before turning the gun on himself. Further investigations by the LMPD's Homicide Unit are ongoing.

Betty Achapa, a Kenyan entrepreneur based in the US, identified the victims as Njoki Muchemi Stanton and her daughters Adrianne and Brianna while the husband’s name is Jery Stanton.
