Ruto appointed Gen. Karangi as Chair of the National Council for Population and Development (NCPD) board, taking over from former Kinangop MP David Ngugi who was appointed in May 2021.

Karangi’s previous appointment as Chairperson of the National Social Security Fund Board of Trustees has been revoked and replaced with Anthony Muriuki Munyiri.

Faith Boinett will head the board of directors of Kenya Pipeline Company Limited, replacing Rita Achieng Okuthe, whereas former MP Noah Wekesa has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Forest Service, replacing James Waweru Karugu. Job Chirchir has been picked as the Chairperson of the Kenya Forest Service.

In a gazette notice on Friday, President Ruto said the new appointments take effect from December 3rd and the appointees will serve for a period of three years.
