Former Bungoma East MP Mark Barasa Found Murdered, Eyes Gouged Out
Police have launched an investigation into the gruesome murder of former Bungoma East MP Mark Barasa, who was found dead at his home in Tongaren on Wednesday.
The body of the deceased was partially burned with acid, with eyes, tongue, and left hand missing, according to reports.
The discovery of his mutilated body came after his family reported him missing, thinking he had lost his memory and was unable to find his way home.
Barasa, who was married to four wives and had 27 children, is credited for critical developments in the area during his tenure as an MP including the Webuye Pan Papers, Lugulu Girls, Chesamisi Boys, and Friends School Kamusinga.
