Mwalimu Sacco to Subdivide 14-Hectare Prime Land in Juja for Sale to Members and Public
Mwalimu National Sacco has announced it will subdivide its two 14-hectare parcels of land in Juja for sale to its members and the public.
This comes after the Sacco’s preferred single large buyers failed to offer the right price for the property, whose value is estimated at over Sh600 million.
The Sacco said offers from the large-scale buyers who were interested in the two parcels were turned down as they were below the area’s market rate.
Mwalimu Sacco, which initially planned to construct housing units on the land or sale to both members and the public, said its members will be gien priority in the sale of the plots after demarcation.
Juja has been experiencing some of the fastest-growing land prices among Nairobi’s satellite towns, according to land price data compiled by realtors HassConsult.
In the one year to September 2022, the price of an acre in the town rose by 18.2 percent to Sh18.2 million.
