Tell Me Your Net Worth First!: Akothee Blasts Miguna Miguna for Terming Her Marriage a Red Flag
Singer Esther Akoth, popularly known as Akothee, has fired back at Kenyan-Canadian attorney Miguna Miguna for questioning her marriage to Dennis ‘Omosh’ Schweizer.
Miguna argued that the fact that not much is known about Akothee’s Swiss husband makes their marriage a red flag. "A bright red flag. I hope she has a prenup and a will. Wishing her well,” Miguna tweeted.
A prenup is an agreement made by a couple before they marry concerning the ownership of their respective assets should the union fail.
Miguna was reacting to a tweet by People Daily reporter Francis Muli, who wrote, "I've been looking all over for information about Akothee's husband Denis Schweizer. There's nothing to be found. No education, no family, and no online footprints. Just a 'mysterious' guy now serving as the chairman of Akothee Foundation."
Akothee, who tied the knot with Schweizer on her 40th birthday at Windsor Golf Club in Nairobi on April 10th, blasted Miguna over the comment, challenging the lawyer to state his net worth.
“Someone tell Miguna Miguna this is not politics and he should tell me his net worth before he attacks my husband. Inclusivity deficiency,” she wrote on Thursday.
In a separate post, the mother of five said, “My husband gives men sleepless nights. I can’t marry a nobody, if I could I would have done it a long time ago. I am hot and sexy, that is why I attract the likes of Omosh. I can’t marry for wealth, I have my own, if wealth was an issue I have turned down three proposals from not just rich but a billionaire.”
She added: “A woman like me is very hard to find. I married my prince charming. I know his value, his family, and his wealth. He has all the qualities I was looking for in a man.
