Nyeri residents were thrilled to receive a delicious meal of meat and rice at the Sagana State Lodge on Sunday morning before attending Interdenominational prayers.

This came as a fulfilled promise by deputy president Rigathi Gachagua who had assured them that the State House would be accessible to them once Kenya Kwanza accedes to power. The residents were warmly welcomed by the security officers at the entrances before heading to the serving area to enjoy their meals. They expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to dine at the State Lodge, with some even getting a second serving of the sumptuous meal.

According to the residents, their happiness was not only due to the food but also because they knew that important decisions regarding the development of their region would be discussed. On Sunday morning, The Deputy President went for an early morning walk and interacted with the locals in his hometown of Mathira. He mentioned that the walk was significant because it coincided with his boss preparing to hold an interdenominational service at Sagana State Lodge later in the day.

According to Gachagua, President Ruto, unlike his predecessors, has broadened access to the lodge for individuals from all backgrounds to join him in thanking God for his blessings. The DP further emphasized the importance of seeking God's intervention in pursuit of implementing the Kenya Kwanza agenda for a better Kenya.

The Sagana State Lodge is one of the four state lodges used by the President for official and private functions, with the others situated in Kisii, Eldoret, and Kakamega. It is equipped with high-tech security features and offers various amenities such as swimming pools, tennis courts, and golf courses. The Sagana Lodge has a notable history having been graced by Kenya's last three Presidents.
