A family in Muhanda, Gem is currently seeking answers after their relative met a mysterious demise in Cape Town, South Africa.

The deceased, Enock Wamare Hosea, also known as 'Blacky', had resided in Cape Town for 11 years. In 2013, he was awarded a scholarship from Maseno University and went on to pursue pure accounting at the esteemed University of Cape Town. He continued to live in South Africa until his untimely death.

Late on Wednesday night, Enock's brother, Washington Obara, received a shocking call from his sister informing him of the tragic news. According to his friends in South Africa, Enock was allegedly attacked at his residence by individuals he worked with in the taxi industry. They claim that the assailants drove to his house where they mercilessly stabbed him to death. Obara added that after completing his studies, Enock ventured into various businesses, including a hairdressing salon, a spur, and a taxi service in Cape Town.

The family is urging the Kenya High Commission in South Africa to intervene and shed light on the reasons behind the murder. They are also requesting the government's assistance in repatriating the deceased's body from South Africa to Kenya for a proper burial. Mr. Obara additionally calls upon the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to address the safety concerns of Kenyans residing abroad.

"The government should issue red alerts on countries that are unsafe for Kenyans. My brother was studying and just doing his business without breaking the law," he said.
