Karen Nyamu, DP Gachagua's Electric Dance Sparks Online Frenzy

Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu has caused a sensation on the internet with the emergence of photographs capturing her dancing alongside Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

The Deputy President and Karen Nyamu were among a group of politicians who were present at the wedding of Mathira MP Eric Wamumbi and Murang'a Woman Representative Betty Maina, which followed traditional customs. The Deputy President was seen engaging in dance with several leaders, such as MP Naisula Lesuuda, Purity Ngirici, Governor Ann Waiguru, and Governor Cecil Mbarire, who were also in attendance. Subsequently, Karen Nyamu shared images of her dance with the Deputy President on social media, causing a stir online.

The photos captured the youthful senator joyfully moving to the rhythm, occasionally enveloped in the Deputy President's embrace. The Senator's remarkable dance skills which seemed to be in perfect harmony with the Deputy President's have been lauded by many. All the pictures showcased the duo dancing with utmost respect and genuine smiles.

One particular photo showed the Deputy President dancing with the Senator, his hands clasped together, leading many to perceive this as a sign of admiration and a means to refrain from touching the lawmaker's waist, out of respect for his Christian marriage. President William Ruto also graced the occasion. The gathering, which held immense cultural importance and drew influential politicians saw the Deputy President take on the role of the chief mediator in the dowry ceremony, thus injecting a traditional element into the celebration of love, harmony, and cultural heritage.

In attendance were notable MPs such as Babu Owino from Embakasi East, Oscar Sudi from Kapseret, and Phelix Odiwuor (Jalang'o) from Langata. Additionally, other leaders, including Peter Salasya from Mumias East, Vincent Musyoka from Mwala, and Silvanus Osoro from South Mugirango, graced the occasion.
