In a shocking revelation, several women have come forward with harrowing tales of assault and deception at the hands of John Matara, the main suspect in the tragic murder of socialite Starlet Wahu.

The accused, believed to be a serial killer, allegedly preys on victims through dating sites, orchestrating a sinister scheme that involves luring them to rented apartments under the guise of a romantic encounter. The victims recount a disturbing pattern where the suspect, initially charming and generous, would abruptly turn violent upon reaching the accommodation. Accusations include physical assaults, coercion, and manipulation, with victims forced to borrow substantial sums of money from their loved ones.

Once the funds are obtained, the suspect would vanish without a trace, leaving his victims traumatized and financially drained. One victim details a particularly distressing incident where she was coerced into recording an indecent video, subsequently becoming a target of blackmail. Another shares a horrifying account of being bound to a chair after extorting money from her friends and family, locked inside an apartment as the suspect disappeared into the night.

The shocking confessions have raised concerns about the extent of the perpetrator's activities, with questions lingering about the unreported cases of similar encounters. The intimidation tactics employed by the suspect have likely silenced many victims, creating a potential hidden epidemic of abuse. The tragic incident involving Starlet Wahu unfolded chillingly, captured by CCTV footage at the building.

The victim and the suspect entered together, appearing as a couple heading to the fourth floor. However, what transpired within those walls was a nightmare, leaving Wahu in a pool of blood, her life brutally cut short. Eyewitnesses in the building report seeing Matara, covered in blood, desperately seeking help as he rushed out. The Matara, later found at Mbagathi Hospital with a stab wound on his leg, is currently in custody for 21 days. Detectives suspect he inflicted the wound on himself in an attempt to obstruct the investigation. An autopsy reveals that Wahu succumbed to excessive bleeding from stab wounds.
